The No. 8 dates the piece to around 1945.
Good condition, no chips, cracks
The factory was founded in 1905 by Christoph Schumann, brother of Carl Schumann, and his father-in-law Karl August Schreider. By 1913 the firm already had 130 employees and specialised in reticulated porcelain items. By 1937 the firm had 400 employees, but it went bankrupt in 1984.
This item has been passed down to me from German in-laws. I’ve had it stored away for 20 years.
